10:00 Governance and Tools
SharePoint is being used to enable collaboration at BMS. In R&D a strategy was laid out to accelerate adoption of new collaboration capabilities. In doing so, an upfront focus on an operating model, governance structure, and a staggered roll out approach was put in place to address concerns of SharePoint site proliferation in an unorganized and uncontrolled manner. This presentation will focus on the implementation approach and tools utilized to deliver SharePoint as a collaboration capability in R&D at BMS.

11:15 SharePoint Tools and Tricks of the Trade
Pharmica routinely configures and builds custom applications on Microsoft’s SharePoint platform to address the business needs of our clients. Many of our projects involve the use of 3rd party software tools to enhance SharePoint’s functionality and improve the user interface. Additionally, most clients also require that SharePoint be customized or tailored to better suit their needs and preferences. To help SharePoint users better understand what tools and types of customization are most commonly used to build effective targeted applications, Pharmica SharePoint developers will share their experiences, recommendations, and ‘tricks’.

2:30 SharePoint as a Clinical Operations Dashboard for Study Metrics Reporting
When managing clinical trials, the need for clear metrics reporting is essential. The status of the trial, at all stages, needs to be available for review across multiple functional areas. SharePoint has been able to provide us this capability by acting as a dashboard for reporting clinical information. By incorporating data from different data sources, reports can be generated and viewed, as needed, from one central location.

3:30 Case Study: Redefining the Role of Technology to Empower Operational Excellence in Clinical Research
Today’s pharmaceutical organizations are heavily burdened with manual/paper based processes which misuse our limited resources. These efforts focus specifically on the electronic Trial Master File and Collaboration with external users.
Things you will learn:
· How to derive operational benefit from collaborative technology like SharePoint
